Air Phone No.4 Wifi 3.5 Inch Touch Screen Phone With Java Dual Sim Cards Reviews

I got an Airphone No.4 wifi phone from shopono.com for Five weeks; this is my brief review about this phone, But pls note, this is not an iphone. There are two colors to choose, and the size is 115x59x10mm, it is a multi-language phone; overall this is a good phone for the money "Five Stars".

My brief review of the Air Phone NO.4 based on 5 weeks of use on the AT&T network.

Good:

1. The air phone 4 works great on AT&T. Very clear voice on both side of the call.
2. Sturdy construction. Back panel locks securely in place.
3. Resistive touch screen on this phone is very good, better than the i68 4g.
4. Friends find it hard to tell apart, even when holding them side by side.
5. Java apps are very easy to install, although good java apps are hard to find for touch screen phones.
6. Camera picture quality is good for 4x6 pictures. Picture gallery is based on thumb nail pictures that you touch to open.
7. Wi-Fi works very well, finds networks easily.
8. Importing phone from smart chip/SIM card works great, Very easy to import your old phonebook.
9. iPhone 4 silicone skins fit well, but not perfect fit.
10. Battery life is good, can last up to two days with one charge for just making or receiving quick calls. If you use Wi-Fi or GSM internet you'll need to charge it a lot. That means you'll need to have the extra battery charged or take the usb charger along with you.
11. Glass Touch Screen, I do not know how to verify if this claim is true.
12. Word recognition on the key pad works very well.

Needs Improvement:
1. Air Phone NO.4 does not have a gravity or orientation sensor, therefore no compass app or any phone app that changes to a wide screen format. If you do a lot of texting you can forget it. The key pad is too small for quick typing.
2. No zoom-in feature for pictures, at least I could not find it.
3. Key pad too small. Key pad numbers need to be bigger. The i68 4g or Pinphone has a much better key pad design.
4. Speed dial most of the time does not work well, even when settings are correct.

The following is the brief specifications for this hot Airphone No.4, Here is the more detail:

Why Facebook Will Not Go the Way of Myspace

Why Facebook Will Not Go the Way of Myspace

10/22/2010 by Katherine Wilson

Long before Facebook came into existence, I was an active user on Myspace. With my first friend Tom Anderson, I was well on my way to finding friends and networking in the digital age.  One unique feature that Myspace allows is the ability to completely customize your profile page. From picking out a background to adding pictures and animations, every person’s page is completely unique unto itself. Profiles range from the basic plain schematic to the overwhelming dizziness of a page with more pictures and graphics than words. Many third party sites exist to provide free html codes for these graphics, which a user then copies and pastes into their profile. Another important social feature is the ability to pick your “top friends” who are displayed on your profile page. Commonly understood, the first “top friend” is the person most important to you, and thus down the line.  Needless to say, this causes much ado when a certain friend gets bumped.

When Facebook appeared on the scene, it was a refreshing new take on social media. There is no “ranking” of the friends, and more of my time is focused on interacting with others rather than updating my profile page. Facebook has quickly evolved into its own unique brand of social media. From streaming status updates to fan pages and groups, Facebook has created a social network with a completely different look and feel than Myspace. So this brings me to my question: Why won’t Facebook go the way of Myspace?

One negative feature of Myspace is how the site gets bogged down with all the graphic information users have on their profile pages. With so many html codes that need to load every time I click on a person’s page, it takes forever to view someone’s profile. Not only the amount of time it takes to view a friend’s page, but also the amount of time spent looking for different graphics can be time consuming. I know I would spend hours looking for different graphics to add to my profile. Often times, friends would go months without giving any updates to their page solely because it took so long to change out information. Don’t get me wrong, the act of changing out the layout didn’t take long at all; it was the searching for the perfect layout that took forever. However, this customization feature is one of the unique qualities of Myspace that many users enjoy.

Myspace is the social network that many local bands use to get word out about themselves and their upcoming shows. The customization feature of Myspace really allows for the bands to brand themselves over a social network. Facebook allows for people to create common interest groups, but the customization is limited.

I can talk about the differences between Myspace and Facebook all day, but to sum it up: Facebook won’t go the way of Myspace because it is a completely different brand. It would be like asking why Apple doesn’t go the way of Microsoft. Plus, if it isn’t broke, why fix it?

Facebook Tags and the Future

Facebook Tags and the Future

11/01/2010 by Ashley Bruno

Facebook has introduced a new tool to allow businesses to stand out in the Social Media climate. A great tool for The Brandon Agency’s Social Media clients, tagging allows Facebook users to tag businesses, brands, events or other users in their status, which then creates a link that people can simply click on to be taken to the referenced item’s page.
And right now, Social Media is creating quite a buzz in the digital PR world, but knowing how to use this feature correctly is key.

One of the most innovative new features Facebook has introduced and were not just talking about with your photos and videos, but also in your status updates-so others know exactly who and/or what you are talking about.
A simple process, you basically use the @ and then begin typing what you want to tag, a drop-down list will appear, you pick from the list, the @ will disappear in the post and item you picked from the list will be presented in your status update as a link.

For Example:
This is what it looks like as you are choosing your item to insert as your tag:

And this is what the finished product looks like:

Now, the cool thing is, if you have your privacy settings on your wall set to where you share your posts with everyone, that status update that I just posted onto my profile, will now appear on The Brandon Agency’s profile wall, because they have been tagged in my status.

While all this is very cool and a great tool for pages, it is difficult explaining the concept to people, for instance, when you want to run a contest that requires them to use it.  It is a fairly new concept to Facebook, and a lot of people aren’t quite sure what it is yet, so they are hesitant to use it.
Right now we are trying to come up with a simpler way to explain to fans of our pages how to use the feature so we can take advantage of it.  Every time they tag our page in a post, not only will their friends see it, but also it will post back to our page’s wall, and create more connectivity and engagement between even more people.

One complaint there has been about the tag feature is the fact that you can only use it in statuses and when posting on other pages. You cannot use it inside any of the comments sections, which many Facebook users have said leaves them feeling as if something is “missing”. In response, Facebook staff said in a recent CNN segment that they have received complaints about the features limited use and could possibly make changes in the future to allow users to tag in comments. Meanwhile, we are still figuring out the logistics of the feature, and how we can put it to good use. In some recent Southern Tide posts, I tagged ST directly in a post so Winthrop University PIKE Fraternity brothers would have easy access to the ST page to post photos from a weekend golf outing in which they would be sporting ST gear. While the tag feature is great for status updates and allowing people to tag our clients, there is a catch. When posting a ST video for our keychain contest recently, the creator of the video, opening a beer with his Skipjack keychain, posted the video to his profile, tagging Southern Tide in the video. While it was cool because it posted to his wall and to the Southern Tide page, on the ST page, you couldn’t make comments on the video, because technically it wasn’t originally posted onto the ST page, it was posted to his profile page, so we ended up reposting it as ST so people could comment and we could get feedback. So while there are some drawbacks to the tagging feature, knowing how to use it and understanding how it works can have some great advantages for the engagement of fans on pages. I am not sure if users just need a tutorial on how it works, or if they are just afraid of sharing what they post with everyone else…and in that case, they should change their privacy settings.
